Title: Here's why you should never consider free web hosting
Post by: Brain Coffey on April 02, 2014, 12:54:29 PM
You might have come across many companies offering free web hosting services and then you must have thought - 'Let's try them :D'. Hold that thought! Here are some possibilities of opting for a free web hosting service:

1. Downtime
2. No support
3. No domains
4. No email service
5. Not much disk space
6. Limited bandwidth
7. Pop-ups
8. Lack of interactive features
9. Loss of content/data
10. Hosting service may not be free forever

Your website deserves the best only then you will get the best out of it. I would love to know everyone's opinions on this... :)

Thanks for sharing this information. An important aspect to be considered is the service offered. While operating a website, there might be technical issues needing immediate attention. With a managed hosting platform, the web hosting company professionals will offer you the right solution at the right time. As a result of this slow down of the website or downtime to the website can be avoided and thereby loss of business will also not occur.

I guess no one can take a chance with bad web hosting service. This is the time when website availability matters the most for staying in the competition. If your website is down or slow even for a small span of time, it might result in loosing customers and business.

Web hosting is basically a long term investment for the website. It is important to give the best hosting platform to your website so that you can receive the best from it.

Free web hosting ;D Well, frankly I don't think any person who seriously cares for his/her website will just hand it over to any free web hosting provider!  8)

Well, its ok to opt for a free trial (free hosting) for sometime before you opt for the paid hosting package of that web hosting company.

Yes absolutely! I agree with that! There is no harm in checking out the service and hosting provided by a reputed web hosting company for free and then signing up for the appropriate web hosting package.

Free web hosting is never of any use to anyone, unless you want to create a new free blog!

I have noticed that many web hosting companies offer trial web hosting packages. They are available for free. The web hosting packages can be tried for free but a free web hosting for lifetime is not a good option.

At any time free hosting providers can close their free service. And, free hosting service providers can't spend cash much on security issues.
