I am a new customer who purchased the MediaWiki hosting service (https://www.milesweb.com/mediawiki-hosting.php), but it's not clear to me how to create my wiki - can you please provide me with step-by-step instructions on how to create a wiki using MediaWiki?
Follow the below steps to setup Wiki using MediaWiki:
- Login to cPanel control panel.
- Click on Softaculous (it's under software/services section).
- In Softaculous, on left side bar click on "Wikis".
- Now select MediaWiki from the list.
- MediaWiki details will be displayed, click on "Install" button (it's in blue colour).
- In Directory field - keep it blank to install the Wiki in http://mydomain.com/ or to install at http://mydomain.com/wiki/ just type wiki.
- Enter the user name, email and password.
- Click on Install button.
- Your Wiki site is ready.
- If you have just updated the DNS then it would take upto 24 hrs for the domain to propagate. After that you can browse your wiki site using your domain name.
