Title: Website Issues After Upgrade
Post by: Sarah on May 12, 2014, 02:52:58 PM
One of my friends has issues with the main page after Joomla upgrade (it's 2.5.11 now). The issue is that this page disappeared. Instead, he has to edit everything present on the index page and it gets displayed on the main page. Any solution for this? Is there any other integration to be done after Joomla upgrade?

I will be grateful for the solutions :)

First you need to identify what is your server environment. Once you have identified that, download - http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/19009/134342/Joomla_2.5.17-Stable-Full_Package.zip and unzip and remove the installation folder.

After that, upload and overtire all with ftp to your server. That should resolve the issue

Before you upload the files and folders, make sure the website themes and plugins are backed up. Else, it will break your website.

Most of the web hosting companies provide with software applications for creating backup of all your website files. You need to check with your web host in order to find out what services and programs they provide.
