Title: The Launch Of Red Hat 7
Post by: Shanaya on June 11, 2014, 06:42:40 PM
The most anticipated Red Hat version 7 was recently launched and it is focused on the mission of creating the foundation of the next generation IT. No other Linux operating system combines the stability and flexibility required for managing the critical workloads across all environments along with the solutions and support. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (RHEL 7) supports the application architecture.

Earlier, the beat release was a great success. In addition to the public beta program, the Linux officials undertook a high touch beta program as well where some selected customers were asked to test specific capabilities. On the basis of the feedback given, a new and improved Red Hat 7 was launched. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 RC is the one and only operating system created for open hybrid cloud.

Here are some of the key features provided by Red Hat Linux 7:

• Expanded Windows interoperability capabilities, including integration with Microsoft Active Directory domains

• Significant file system enhancements, including XFS as the default, scaling to support file systems up to 500 TB

• Improved subsystem management through OpenLMI

• Virtual machine (VM) migration from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 hosts to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 hosts without downtime or VM modification

• With an expansion of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 High-Touch Beta program, participants will have access to Docker container support with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 RC

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 also offers performance improvements for the kernel based virtual machines (KVM). This is a spectacular upgrade by Linux. Any download link is not yet provided however this seems to be a great operating system that will uplift the performance of Red Hat Linux even further.
