According to my information, Linux is the perfect OS that is user friendly as well. Not just for cloud VPS hosting (https://www.milesweb.com/vps-hosting.php), I would recommend linux OS for any type of hosting.

Yes I agree. All across the globe, people prefer using Linux because it is just so easy to manage. Cuts down on a lot of hard work.
I think selecting the operating system of Cloud VPS will depend on the applications that you would like to work with. For instance if you would like to work with ASP.NET, you need to opt for Windows operating system.
