IP spoofing is a technique used for getting unauthorized access to the machines where the attacker of or the hijacker manipulates the IP packets. IP spoofing modifies the packet header with a forged or spoofed IP address, a checksum and the order value. One of the most popular misconceptions about IP spoofing is that it allows unauthorized access to the computers. The motive of IP spoofing is to get a control over the IP sessions through Ddos attacks and ultimately this is aimed at overwhelming the victims with traffic.
