Title: Promotion of PDF files on websites
Post by: Kayra on December 05, 2016, 02:50:24 PM
Hello, friends!

I have some questions that have confused me so thought of taking your opinion:

Is is okay to promote landing pages and files that are in PDF-format?

Is there a possibility to track the file and understand user actions in general, the complexity of editing, as well as possible to select low-frequency queries?

The questions have arisen because our catalog has grown (4000 items) and continues to grow.

Actually, someone proposed us a solution to make use of a PDF-file.

Is there something, I am missing?

This problem can be solved, but on the technical level, will normally not work.

In theory, you can, but have you seen somewhere on the PDF the issuance of a competitive request?

How can I solve the issue then? We are fighting for the solution and already tried to ask our client to predict the reach but it is not working.

The basic reason behind this is tracking the lead.

Actually, we tried to get out the pdf file, but there is a lack of articles on this topic.

From my point of view, it is a bad idea and I agree with those who rejected it.

Another thing is the pdf Promoted requests.

And it is logical that they will not commercially benefit because such a user request requires some further action - application, purchase, online chat, etc.

A browser can interact with pdf - download, print, read ..

You can use mime: rdf at the end of the query and see which documents are in the issuance of your keyword phrases.

One more point to take into consideration is, not everyone has a pdf reader on their computer (not every browser will open the file online).
It's like with the docs format - for example, I do not have Microsoft Office on my computer, and many other spreadsheets in this format.

From my point of view, it is a good idea to promote PDF document as PDF document can't be edited.

The PDF file is simple to create and easy to share so promoting PDF files on the website is the right choice for you.
