Hello.
We need to move the site from Joomla 3.5. to WordPress.
Searching over the Internet, I found that the transfer is carried out using a plugin for WordPress - FG Joomla to WordPress. Installed plugin, but the process doesn't
seems to be simple.
I have Joomla K2 content module.
After the test the database connection plugin FG Joomla to WordPress, got the following error:
[the WARNING] Your Joomla database contains K2 in some items. You need the Premium version and the K2 add-on to import them.
[WARNING] Your Joomla database contains some sh404sef redirections. You need the Premium version and the sh404sef add-on to import them.
In other words, I need to transfer a site:
1. Premium version of the plug-FG Joomla to WordPress
2. the K2 for the add-on plug-FG Joomla to WordPress
3. sh404sef the add-on for plug FG Joomla to WordPress
Buying all can be expensive as I only have to transfer one site which only has 600 posts. I do not know how quality will be transferred.
If someone has done this before or know which plugins can be of use, please share.
Thank you
And what's the point of moving the website from Joomla to WordPress?
There is only one way to migrate without investing much.
If you do not have enough skills in programming, work with your hands.
From my point of view, it doesn't make any sense in moving joomla site to wordpress.
Thank you all for the replies.
For some, it may not make any sense, but I prefer WordPress, so let us not discuss on this.
For all other replies: I cannot do this by myself. What I want to know is, is there a ready-made tool that I can use. If the tool can just transfer all the files, that's alright.
As an option: Export all Joomla content in XML or CSV files and use "WP All Import" plugin for WordPress.
It is also throwing the k2 error. The solution is not working for me unluckily.
Today, I tried
1. Premium version of the plug-FG Joomla to WordPress
2. the K2 for the add-on plug-FG Joomla to WordPress
But it seems that the Premium version of the plug-FG Joomla to WordPress works with the old version, unfortunately, does not work with k2.
If you know PHP a little, write a parser rather that pulls the database from content into categories and puts it into a different database.
I do not know PHP and therefore asked for plugins. If do not found, I will try, as I wrote in a post earlier transfer content from K2 in Joomla, and then, by using a plugin.
If you still have some solution that can fix my problem or know about any plugins, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
