I just check your forum and it contains good topics that really help to gain knowledge and engagement are also good. Even I have a forum and in beginning, it receives a good traffic and visitors too. But now I am observing that numbers of new visitors have reduced. So can you guys help me to increase the forum traffic and visitor engagement?

There are n numbers of reasons for not getting visitors like for e.g., members must get bored, when they do not get the good amount of participation on the forum or subject must not of their interest, they do not get the proper solution to their question and much more.
First of all while doing forum posting one should keep in mind that the post should be very appropriate and in reference to the topic. The reader is always in a hurry to get the proper solution to his/her questions so always make sure while posting anything think in readers perspective. I'm sure by doing this you will get good visitors and increases the traffic.
You can enable the guest posting if you want good engagement on your forum. I know not all forums offer a guest posting by default, but if you notice more spamming then you can disable for some time.
You can invite your friends on social networking sites to like your forum page or tell them to participate.
Keep your forum public so that the new user will participate on the forum and also make sure that your forum page is getting indexed on the search engine.
Google it or ask any expert you will get a clear idea of your query.
Create your official account on big forums or famous forum and add the signature to it. Because of this, users will start recognizing your company or forum.
Ask your members to participate in a forum on the regular basis. If new visitors come to your forum, then he/she should get the proper solution. If your participation is regular then this helps the user to know about your user engagement in the forum.
If any threat is open then user always expects replies from the other users, therefore, replies on the forum also matter.

Make sure you are producing content that is helpful to your visitors. You continuously need to interact with customers. Also, make your site easy to navigate.

To get traffic for you forums you need to make it popular. One of the best ways to do it is social media and networking sites. Sites like Facebook, Google+, Linkedin, and Twitter can be helpful in making your forum.famous in your community. Post questions and polls related to your niche and put links to your forums also. Thus you will get visits from the peoples who have the same interest in your niche. Those peoples will come again and again and make comments on your forums. Thus you will get unique and fresh content as well as quality visitors for your forum. :)
