Hello everyone,
I have a question on which to use, Schema or Microformats.
Microformats is easier to implement, but because Schema was developed by all search engines, I think it would be more search friendly.
Am I talking silly?
That's it..
Kayra, I believe that Schema has been interpreted better.
I started using microdata, but we are already studying about Schema to change the schedules.
I think the important thing is to have Rich Snippet, in whatever way you think it's best. ;)
Well, I have 2 clients that use Microformats.
One displays the snippet correctly, the other does not. This, I oriented the use of Schema but did not apply because it was not a valid code by the W3C.
I insisted using the argument that CTR and conversion should be prioritized, not just validation. But it was not very convincing.
The microdata format is recommended by both Google and Schema then implementing other Rich Snippet patterns like Microformats or RDFa is not best practice.
Additionally, microdata on your website will include elements of HTML5, preparing your website for the new possibilities of the internet.
Any questions, just ask.
Hello, guys,
I'll share a bit of my brief experience with the microdata in the Schema standard.
I gradually implemented the microdata in this pattern and noticed that in the pages that I implanted first there was a more constant and consistent improvement in the positioning of the searches than in the pages that I did not implant "yet". Nothing very conclusive since other factors can influence, but I'm watching.
It's hard work to deploy them but it's nothing more than a deeper and more detailed markup in the html code, the trick depends a lot on how the code is already organized and the volume of content to be tagged, plus the time it took to understand Schema (kkk this name is comedy).
Before testing any schema markup I studied until I understood the way it works and the ways of deployment, I advise anyone who wants to use this markup to do the same. One of the reasons I chose the schema is because it is a default set between search engine companies and easy to deploy to html 5.
In my case the goal is not only to define the ideal Rich Snippet since these pages already work a lot Well with the default page snippet. But rather give more relevance to the deep content so that the search engines understand and when they decide to show the modified snippet that shows an optimized and attractive.
I'm making a new website in html5 that is already with microdata marking from the start, it's looking easier than changing it later. Once you have online and with some results I share here to discuss.
Hello,
I have tested both
Schema and Microformat, in my tests I applied both in the same content with the same SEO techniques, and I realized that what was developed with Schemas had a much better positioning. I do not know if it influenced or not just did the tests and for me it worked very well ..
Then I did another test, I put 2 totally new sites and I put one with the application of schema and another without in only 2 weeks the sites was on the second page .. soon in my application it worked and I am very satisfied with the results ...

Schema normalizes the structured markup supported by search engines. It expands the topical domains of currently supported microformats and structured vocabularies. One can easily improve their site semantic by using standardized code through schema markup. When you want to specifically target the relations from the database table such as address, job or colleagues then microformat is a perfect choice. Even google supports microdata for the content types reviews, people, products, business, and organizations, etc. So schema will give you the structure, whereas the microformat will give you the microdata (detail information).
Firstly, you need to understand the basic purpose for using schema or microformats. Both of there purpose is same, as to provide vocabulary for semantic-makeup.
You can use schema, if you want recognized and standardized solution. Schema provides you microdata in documentation.
