Title: Email Error Messages
Post by: Administrator on February 28, 2014, 10:11:29 AM
Hi All,

I am starting this thread so that whoever faces any issues when sending emails to different mail service providers, can post the error and fix that can be applied. This will help all members to know as to why Hotmail is rejecting OR not accepting the emails.

One of the error as below.

Quote== test[ @ ]hotmail.com R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp defer (-45): SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<abc[ @ ]xyz.com> SIZE=103808: host mx4.hotmail.com [65.55.37.72]: 421 RP-001 (COL0-MC1-F46) Unfortunately, some messages from xx.xx.xx.xx weren't sent. Please try again. We have limits for how many messages can be sent per hour and per day. You can also refer to http:// mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

As explained in the error, it looks like your server has exceeded the threshold of emails to be sent per hour and per day. This can be due to many emails stuck in your email queue OR an account involved in sending spam emails.

If you own your server, please make sure the queue is cleared OR the account involved in sending spam emails is disabled. For owners with shared hosting account, please contact the server administrator to investigate further.
Title: verizon.net blocking emails
Post by: Administrator on February 28, 2014, 12:54:37 PM
Here is one more to the list

Quoteabc.xyz[ @ ]verizon.net
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host relay.verizon.net [206.46.232.11]: 571 Email from xx.xx.xx.xx is
currently blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system. The email sender or
Email Service Provider may visit http://www.verizon.net/whitelist and
request removal of the block.

You will need to seriously check the server & check which account is sending spam emails. You can sent a delist request at Verizon & delist the server IP. Here is the URL http://my.verizon.com/micro/whitelist/RequestForm.aspx?id=isp to delist the server IP. Fill in all the details & submit it.
