Therefore, most of the experts suggested me to use Google shorten URL or any other tool to get shorten URL. So can anybody tell me what is the use of the short URL and how it works in social media?

Here's what you need to do:

I am using bit.ly and goo.gl for shortening the url. It is really beneficial because it helps to share the content or any resource easily.
It increases click-through rate!!
Spammers use this tool to draw users on the fake or fraudulent website.

The major advantage of URL shortener is that you can easily use it on social media. By shortening the URL and using it on social media, you can save the character limit and add some informative lines to your post.
