Well, I would like to contradict from the opinions voiced in this thread. You all are right in terms of saying that VPS hosting provides with sufficient resources for managing an online store. However, initially an abundance of resources might not be required. So I feel in the beginning, the eCommerce store can be started on a shared hosting platform and later the hosting package can be updated as the website requirements increase.

You will come across many eCommerce shopping cart softwares. However, you must take the needs of your products and store into consideration first so that you can select an appropriate one.
