Thanks for sharing the links. I went through the managed VPS hosting packages on your website. I see that you have OpenVZ servers and KVM servers, which one do you recommend?

I am interested in purchasing a low cost VPS hosting plan for running a java script. I need this VPS for personal use. Please let me know the appropriate suggestions.

Yes even I thought that they are the same, I did a little research on these two terms to know the difference.

Well, that sounds great! I have made up my mind and I will place the order!

General Discussion / Re: Fully Managed Servers

But isn't it time consuming to opt for an un-managed hosting server and then working on maintaining the server and optimizing it?

Yes absolutely! I agree with that! There is no harm in checking out the service and hosting provided by a reputed web hosting company for free and then signing up for the appropriate web hosting package.

Domain Names / Domain name ownership
December 16, 2014, 04:41:44 PM
If I register for a domain name, who will get the ownership of that domain name? I am not sure if the domain ownership is retained by the web hosting company and passed on to me after sometime.

Thanks for the update. I would like to go with the Startup plan!! Do you offer any additional addons along with this package? Or do I only get the hosting specifications mentioned in the package?

Seriously! For me holiday.com is a highly impressive domain name. Think of all the possibilities you have with that kind of a domain name!!! Its Incredible!!!

Well, it will be great if you can ave your main keyword as the domain name. However, if you cant then there's not much to worry! If you are promoting your website properly, it will rank well irrespective of what domain name you have chosen.

I totally agree with your view.

Domain Names / Re: Selecting The Right Domain Name
November 18, 2014, 06:14:39 PM
Well, to give you my ideolofy to select a domain name, I will opt for a domain name that is funny and interesting. For example for an online shopping website, I will prefer a domain name like shopshop.com or shoptillyoudrop.com.... 8)

There can be a huge difference between an expired domain, a deleted domain and a dropped domain and this depends on the registry/registrar as well.

Let me explain with an example...

Let's say a domain 'aaa.com' expires on 30th October, 2014 and the domain owner decides not to extend it further. In this case, after 30th October, 2014 most of the web hosting providers will not just simply delete this domain name for avoiding domain scatting, therefore the last domain owner still has some time in hand to change his mind.

A dropped domain is a domain that is intentionally deleted before the "natural" expiration date.

Web Hosting / Re: Does green hosting really matter?
November 14, 2014, 05:06:09 PM
Green hosting sounds good. However, If I have a website and if I have to host it urgently I won't wait until I find a green web hosting package, any web hosting platform that provides me with sufficient web hosting resources will do.

Web Hosting / Re: Hosting Advice For Blogger

This is not really related to hosting, but I think that it is important to intimate your subscribers. If you have considerate amount of blog traffic and if you are active on the social media websites, you must send out an update about the earlier address of your blog and the new one. So that you don't miss out on readership.
