Order verification process

My question is to all the web hosts out there and the resellers as well. I would be interested in knowing about the order verification process especially when customers pay via credit card. What is the process for validating this payment for reducing the risk of fraud.

Hi Drake,

It depends on the billing software & payment gateway you use. Many billing softwares come with a plugin to verify if the order placed is Genuine OR Fraud. There are different parameters which are used to analyze the status of any order. The same way every Payment Gateway has it's own algorithm to check the authenticity of payment made.

If the order placed OR payment made passes all the checks, the order/payment is processed further.

Credit card payments reflect in our account within 15 - 30 minutes. Once we get the payment confirmation the account is setup immediately. Shared and reseller hosting accounts are setup within few minutes of payment confirmation, VPS setup process takes 4 - 6 Hrs and Dedicated server setup process takes 24 - 48 hrs
