The reason behind this is that while showing result search engine bots searches for the keywords exactly matching to the search query or the phrase which comes more frequently than others.

In short YES, Keyword Density still matters in SEO to improve rankings and get relevant traffic. Keyword has always been considered as an important factor for on-page optimization and getting a higher spot on the search engine. However, the general context of the content is more important than utilizing the word as many times as possible.

We all understand how crucial keywords are to Google. When the words do not appear in the on-page text, it is challenging to rank content for a specific term. The frequency with which a term or phrase appears in relation to the amount of text on the page is referred to as keyword density.
Keyword density is simply not something to be concerned about. You're fine as long as you use the word or phrase a few times, as you would if you weren't aiming for a specific ratio.
Use the keyword in the page title, meta description, and first paragraph. Then, only use it a few more times throughout the copy. Because keyword density is not a ranking factor, there is no ideal percentage of keywords to use.
