Error : Account Creation Status: failedSorry, a DNS entry for yourdomain.com

Hello guys,

When trying to add an account from WHM you receive error as below

Error : Account Creation Status: failedSorry, a DNS entry for yourdomain.com already exists, please delete it first (from all servers in the DNS cluster).

This error is occurred due to the entry for domain which you want to add, already exists on server OR cluster (only if you have DNS cluster setup).

You have to delete the zone files of that domain from server OR cluster so that you can add the account successfully.

Login to server as ssh as a root and execute following command.

root]#/script/killdns yourdomain.com

An other alternative is to delete the DNS zone file from WHM as root. Access option DNS Functions » Delete a DNS Zone & select the domain for which you wish to delete the zone file. Click on Delete & you are done.
