Below are the steps to switch back to the old, classic WordPress:

1. Install the Classic WordPress Editor Plugin from the WordPress repository. You can also find this plugin Featured section of the WordPress plugins directory. After the plugin is installed, activate the plugin.

2. Hover to the Writing Settings of your website and click on the settings link under the installed Classic Editor plugin listing. You can also go to your WordPress dashboard => Settings => Writing and find the options activated by the plugin.

3. With the plugin you can select the Default editor for all users, where you can select "Classic Editor" to get back to the old WordPress editor.

This setting can be changed back to the Block Editor when you want to work with the Gutenberg editor.

You will also get an additional option for letting your users on the WordPress website to switch editors. Multi-author blogs can get the benefit from this as those contain some editors which require to work using the Gutenberg blocks editor.

4. That's all is required for getting back to  the classic editor on your WordPress blog or website. After this, go to the WordPress editor and check if you can see the old and friendly editor of your choice.
