Can anyone tell me the importance of server location for website or blog? Because I am a bit confused about which server location I should choose and why it's necessary to select a proper server location?

For e.g: If you have a business in India and your target audience is also Indian people then hosting a website on the server situated in USA or UK is of no use. Instead, you should host a website on a server located in India itself. So that the website will respond to the Indian location searches faster than other locations.
