I have set up a mailing list through cPanel. I have the moderation bit set to OFF and the 2 email addresses are in the owners list yet all emails are held for moderation with the reason being "Message has implicit destination"

I am trying to get anything I send from either (owner) email to go right through without being held but to hold addresses from anyone else. Any ideas ?

General Discussion / Intermittent issues
May 20, 2014, 06:10:02 PM
Hey All,

I have few hosting plans with some providers in US and UK.  There has been intermittent connection issues to my server from last few days. Appears to be some kind of an issue with the server ?  I have checked from two connections as well as a VPN, all the same.

Does the server has the issue OR is it the network ? How can I check ?

Web Hosting / VPS question
March 25, 2014, 05:38:58 PM
Hello Forum Members,

I know this may sound silly but this is the first time for me to use VPS. I am getting an outsourcer to load a site on here for me but I don't want him to be able to change my primary passwords etc in case he locks me out for some reason

What's the best way to avoid this?

How To's / How to flush DNS cache on Linux ?
February 14, 2014, 12:16:12 AM
Hi All,

My first post on this forum to educate Linux users  :P

Nscd is a daemon that provides a cache for the most common name service requests. The default configuration file, /etc/nscd.conf, determines the behavior of the cache daemon. There are two caches for each database: a positive one for items found, and a negative one for items not found.  Each cache has a separate TTL (time-to-live) period for its data.  Note that the shadow  file  is  specifically  not  cached.  getspnam(3)  calls  remain uncached as a result.  As a result of this behavior it is not possible to change non-nscd user to another non-nscd user via su service when nscd is running.

You can flush your DNS cache on Linux with commands below.

1. Login to your server via SSH.

2. Restart the nscd service with command

Quoteroot@home [/]# /etc/init.d/nscd restart

Not all the Linux OS comes with nscd service pre installed. You will have to use yum OR apt-get depending on the distros to install it. Install nscd-2.12-1.132 rpm for the nscd service.

Hi Team,

To test I signed up for a hosting package and the service is at it's best so far. Good uptime and speed. Being a webmaster my customer's requirement differ.

As posted in the subject of this thread, do you guys offer any custom hosting package ?

Domain Names / Domain names with special characters
January 07, 2014, 12:37:31 AM
Hi Team,

I am new to your forum. A quick introduction about me. I am a webmaster who is interested in designing websites according to my client needs. I resell hosting & domain registration to my customers.

I want to know, can we register domain names with special characters ? If yes, what are the limitations & does MilesWeb allows domain names with special characters ?
