I also prefer sharing updates on social media groups. It helps a lot in getting good traffic.

Well, I totally agree on that point! There are a wide range of web hosting companies offering similar kind of web hosting service. If you really want to be noticed, you really have to stand out.

I would say fixing any kind of errors on the eCommerce store is also an important task. The other day I was buying something online and I wanted to pay through my credit card. I clicked on the credit card option and the site showed me an error, I tried the debit card option as well, again the same error was shown. It is important that the eCommerce website owners should know about the existing errors on the website and they should be fixed as soon as possible otherwise this directly means losing the customers.

@Gurdaas that's a really good point. But I think that there are numerous web hosting companies and the web hosting market is becoming saturated. Only the smartest players are here to stay!

We all can see that there is a fierce competition in the hosting industry right now. Almost all the web hosting companies are providing with the best of features and hosting specifications. What is your opinion on the hosting market right now?  What do you think is the future of this industry?

Thanks for the information, is there anything else that I have to do for transferring the domain name or that's it?

I would go with the Intel processors. They have a reputation of being strong processors and ensuring the smooth functioning of the machine.

General Discussion / Re: Fully Managed Servers

Well I guess most of the people who have technical knowledge, opt for un-managed servers. This is because they are affordable and if required customers can get a paid support.

Well, I checked out the Page Insights tool and it is indeed a great tool to check website speed. I will recommend it to all the website owners.

Frankly speaking holiday.com does not sound like an impressive domain name to be. However, someone has paid this handsome amount for purchasing this domain name because it is a popular one.

Web Hosting / Suggestion for Good Hosting
« on: October 28, 2014, 11:40:02 AM »
The competition is fierce in the web hosting industry. There are many web hosting companies that provide with the best services and hosting configurations. In such a situation, what would be the parameters for judging a web hosting company? I would like to know everyone's opinions.

I already own a domain name and hosting with a web hosting company.

I am planning to purchase another domain name but it will be separate from my existing domain name and hosting account. I want to know how can I import the domain name to cPanel of my existing hosting account or set it up for redirecting to other domain?
