General Discussion / Website Issues After Upgrade
« on: May 12, 2014, 02:52:58 PM »
One of my friends has issues with the main page after Joomla upgrade (it's 2.5.11 now). The issue is that this page disappeared. Instead, he has to edit everything present on the index page and it gets displayed on the main page. Any solution for this? Is there any other integration to be done after Joomla upgrade?

I will be grateful for the solutions :)

Here's another technique:

In order to completely prevent a web page's contents from being listed in the Google web index even if other websites have linked to it. Use a 'noindex' meta tag. As long as Googlebot fetches the web page, it will come across the'noindex' meta tag and it will prevent that page from getting displayed in the web index.

Thanks for the reply.  I am looking ahead to good performance monitoring and uptime monitoring. It will be great if I get pinged load spikes, downtimes etc. I am used to working with Pingdom however it does not offer performance monitoring.

I guess no one can take a chance with bad web hosting service. This is the time when website availability matters the most for staying in the competition. If your website is down or slow even for a small span of time, it might result in loosing customers and business.
