Facebook and Instagram play vital roles but has some pros and cons :
1) Users : Facebook has come earlier to Instagram so it has more number of users.
2) Demographics: Instagram is mostly used by celebrities and a lot of people like to follow showbiz people. Whereas Facebook is used by all ages of people from kids to adult. You can easily select your desired audience on Facebook.
3) Features: Facebook has many features which may confuse newbies to use it.
On the other hand, Instagram comes with limited features like to post images and videos which makes it handier for the newbies.
4) Advertisement: Along with your product you can highlight its detail features on Facebook. On Instagram, you can just showcase the product abruptly.
So I would suggest to start your advertisement with Facebook and later move on to Instagram.
