As we all know that Google is going to enter the domain name registration field. What do you think will be the effect of this endeavor?

Heard of that news
I can say that this move by Google does make sense and it is a little surprising for me. I was wondering why this move has taken such a long time? The domain name business does not have huge margins. Google has never shown interest in it earlier.
Google entering in the domain name market surely sounds good! But I am unsure about how individuals and businessmen are going to take it!

I would say Google is entering in the wrong field. Google should continue to focus on big initiatives and leave this for the small players.

Yes in a way!! However, so many web hosting companies and domain name providers already have a strong presence in the domain name industry. I am not sure if they will lose any customers because of Google's entry in the domain name market.

It all depends on how people will embrace this move of Google.
