Hello friends,
As I work mostly online, my laptop use to get hand very frequently. So, I use to clear my cache so that the laptop can work fast. But, I have observed still my laptop is not working properly. So, my laptop repairer said I shall look for the Caching-only server.
But, I don't know what does that mean. Can you guys help me to understand the same?

A caching-only server saves the data in a cache file till it doesn't get expire. A caching-only server answers to the requested data from its cache if it has that information, and if it doesn't have the information then requests it from the authoritative server.

Caching-only servers are those DNS servers that perform name resolution queries, cache the answer, and then returns the results to the client. That means once the query gets stored in the cache, next time that query is resolved from local cached instead of going to the actual site.

Caching only server saves the data in a cache file until the time of its expiration arrives. Data gets expired based on the "time-to-live" field attached to data received from another server.

The Caching-only server comprises of only the information based on the results of queries have been performed by it previously. So, the cache replaces the zone database file in the caching-only server. You can set up these Caching-only DNS Servers quickly and are an important merge between your network and Internet security design.
