Hello guys,

One of our client facing problem for sending an email from outlook, let see what he said " I have just changed internet service providers and now I am unable to send emails from my office computer using outlook. I receive the following error: "

QuoteTask 'name@domain.com - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

After investigating on it I found that it was a problem due to the SMTP port number that Outlook sets as the default was not working for some reason ( ISP block port 25).  Outlook sets the outgoing port number as 25.

Solution :-  Changing the outgoing port number from the default 25 to 26 or 587solved your outgoing email failure.
