RVSiteBuilder Error: PEAR cannot create directory

Hello Guys,

On the cPanel server if RVSiteBuilder is not exercising and when you attempt to access it from the cPanel it shows the below error.

PEAR cannot create directory. current directory is not permitted./var/cpanel/rvglobalsoft/rvsitebuilder/www/userdata/user
    It seems an error has occured, the page you are trying to reach is not accessible. There are 2 solutions.
    1. Cache is broken. Click here to auto fix the issue.
    2. RVSiteBuilder installation is not completed successfully. Please contact your hosting provider to force update it using this command.
    perl /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/rvsitebuilderinstaller/autoinstaller.cgi –force

I examine the solutions like updating RVSiteBuilder, cPanel update, but no chance. Later on reading error carefully I found that this is an only account who facing this issue. For other clients, its working fine. Below is a simple solution.

Solution ::

1. Login to your server as a root user via ssh.

2. Change directory to /var/cpanel/rvglobalsoft/rvsitebuilder/www/userdata/.

#cd /var/cpanel/rvglobalsoft/rvsitebuilder/www/userdata/

3. Go over the permission and ownership of a user's directory that causes an issue.

drwxr-xr-x. 2 dipak1     securervsite 4096 Apr  5  2013 dipak1/
drwxr-xr-x. 2          572 securervsite 4096 Sep 18  2012 username/

4. Above output shows that username account has wrong ownership set.

5. Correct the ownership of username directory as below.

#chown username.securervsite username/

6. Immediately test to access RVSiteBuilder from , it will work ok for you.
