I have been working with Dreamweaver for quite sometime. Although I never updated my knowledge about Dreamweaver, I am in search of online tutorials through which I can establish a good eCommerce website. I have a hosting account with a web host that provides me with MSSQL server. I also want to get a new hosting account for the eCommerce website. What are the other essential things that I will need for setting up an eCommerce website?

I am not interested in hiring third party eCommerce sites as they charge a very high commission and the products that I intend to sell through my eCommerce website are very basic. Please let me know your suggestions.

Unless you are planning to create the code by yourself, you will need a proper eCommerce platform for managing the factors like shopping cart, product database, payment processing and checkout system. Most of the eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Prestashop, OpenCart et. enable you to import your product descriptions in HTML format; therefore, DreamWeaver can be used in managing that.
