Account suspended by web host because of DDOS attack.

I was hosting my account with a webhost since from last 4 years without any problem. But today my site is closed and I got ticket informing that they cancel my service because of DDOS attack. I replied them immediately and  I am still waiting for their response. My site receives great traffic but I don't have any idea what's going on? And I am not sure about the reason which they are giving for suspending my account as I didn't get any proper information. It seems I just got booted for no reason.

Which company you were hosting? What kind of service you were using? Like Shared, dedicated, VPS etc.
If your website getting high traffic then doesn't give up and try to monetized that traffic in order to get best hosting with DDoS protected.

It is very natural for any website to get offline in such condition. If service provider promises you before about giving protection, it's their duty to follow that commitment. However you expect full explanation from their side. For e.g. reasons for suspending account without giving any solutions. Now at this moment if you have backup than surely move to new hosting.

Such attack is common now a days and DDOS attack becoming more popular. When large attack takes place IP is nulled to prevent further damage. It's company's responsibility to update client time to time with solution.

Tell me your first hosting was free? Have you contacted your provider for backup so that you can move to next?

For DDOS attack you also need hardware protection provided by the service provider and software protection will not be sufficient. I would recommend to higher some server management plans.
