SEO / Social Media Discussions / Re: What is on-page SEO?
« on: April 16, 2019, 03:36:20 PM »
Hey guys,
Nowadays I am reading about digital marketing and side-by-side practicing it.
Now, I am starting with SEO, so could you tell me what is on-page SEO?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is basically divided into two parts, On-Page, and Off-Page SEO. On-page SEO is the method of optimizing individual web page as an SEO point of view. So it can be rank higher and earn more appropriate traffic in search engines. On-page applies to both the content as well as HTML source code of a page that can be optimized.
It gives all the relevant information of that particular web page to search engines.

Here I have listed the checklist of On-Page SEO
  • Crawl Your Site
  • Make Site Audit and Fix The Errors
  • Update URLs, Page Titles, and Meta Descriptions
  • Establish a Value Proposition
  • Define Your Target Audience
  • Plan New Page Titles
  • Add Your New Meta Description
  • Track Keywords and Topics for Each Page
  • Review and Edit Page Content as Needed
  • Incorporate Visual Content
  • Internal Linking
  • Optimize for Conversions
  • Create and Upload XML Sitemap
  • Setup Google Webmaster and Analytics Tools
  • Create Website Mobile Responsive
  • Image and Alt Tag Optimization
For more information, you can check:

Please help me to know the SEO friendly ways for tackling the 404 errors on the website.

First of all, we need to understand the most common reasons for 404 error pages: 404 errors can be happen for multiple reasons. Here I have listed some of them:
  • If you change your permalink or the linking structure of your current website. (This situation happens when you have changed the design, or structure of site permalinks.)
  • When you removed some particular content or page from your website.
You can tackle this situation using some easy techniques:
  • If you are using WordPress CMS for your website, then use the redirection plugin to monitor and redirect all your 404 error pages from your dashboard.
  • If the error is occurring due to a misspelled link from any other domain then you can either ask the developer to update that particular link, or you can use the 301 redirection method.
  • Another method is you can manually de-index 404 pages from the search engine index database using the webmaster removal tool.
  • You can also create a custom 404 page to redirect all your 404 error pages.
I think this information is useful to you.

Web Hosting / Re: How do I understand which hosting is best for me?
« on: April 02, 2019, 04:33:13 PM »
Hello friends,
I want to start an e-commerce business, so will create a website accordingly. But, after that how will I identify which hosting will be best for me?
Guys help me to find the best option for me by providing your valuable suggestions.

If you are new in the hosting then you should start with shared hosting service, because in that you no need to manage your hosting account or not required so much knowledge to handle your hosting account.
As you said you are building an eCommerce website, as per my knowledge and research eCommerce type of websites required a huge amount of hosting resources because it has a lot of visitors. So, to handle this kind of traffic you'll need VPS or Cloud hosting services.
At the starting stage of any online business, the count of visitors is very less so, as I said you can start with shared hosting service.
So, the final decision of course yours.

  • Un-Managed Hosting:
In web hosting, there are two main categories, unmanaged and managed web hosting. Unmanaged hosting is less expensive than managed hosting because in unmanaged hosting you have to manage your server. No regular support, technical or other, is provided by the hosting provider. The hosting service provider does not provide any support to install any software to the client. You'll get only a few things like reboot servers, do the network maintenance or replace server damaged components but nothing more than that. In that, you have to be full programming as well as web server management knowledge to manage your own server.
  • Managed Hosting:
On the other side in the managed server, you get a lot of required things. In that, you get the support and management of your entire server. Your hosting provider takes care of every problem of hosting account and provides 24/7 technical support in case of an emergency. So, you can remain concentrate on your business activities. Managed server hosting comes with all expertise, you don't have to worry about any server management.

I am just starting with my business online and want to host my website. But I am not sure whether to go for a basic shared hosting plan or VPS hosting. Please guide me on this.

Which type of hosting service is suitable for your website is totally depends on your website requirements. Each hosting type has its own benefits and drawbacks.
Here we will take a short overview of both hosting services:

Shared Hosting:

Pros of shared hosting:
  • It’s usually very cost-effective.
  • The basic type of hosting service.
  • You don’t have much knowledge about hosting to configure your server.
  • Best hosting service to fit in your budget as well as the most reliable service.
Cons of shared hosting:
  • You don’t get dedicated resources to your website.
  • In this hosting service, the physical server distributed among multiple hosting accounts.
  • Your website may slow down when other sites on the same server see spikes in traffic.
VPS Hosting:

Pros of VPS hosting:
  • Like shared hosting, VPS hosting plans are also cheap.
  • Your hosting environment is separated, so other sites aren’t likely to harm your performance.
  • The security risks are decreased.
  • You can easily customize your virtual private server as per your hosting needs,
  • Most of the VPS plans are ‘scalable’, which means you can easily increase or decrease your assigned resources as demanded.

Cons of VPS hosting:
  • VPS hosting is almost more expensive than shared hosting service.
  • You get dedicated hosting resources but in limited form.
After referring the above pros and cons of both hosting services you can select either shared or VPS hosting service for your website.

Web Hosting / Re: What are types of Web Hosting Solutions?
« on: February 19, 2019, 06:07:31 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I am a web designer and want to start a web hosting company. I am doing a study on various parameters of web hosting. Likewise, I want to know the various types of web hosting environment that are offered by web hosting provider. Please help me to know in the detail. Thank you!

There are different types of hosting services available in the online market, Here I am listing some of very popular:
  • Shared Hosting
  • Virtual Private Server (VPS)
  • Reseller Hosting
  • Dedicated Hosting
  • Cloud Hosting
Shared Hosting : In shared hosting, more than one website is hosted on the same server, ranging from a few to hundreds or thousands. Generally, all domains may share common provisions of physical server resources, such as RAM and the CPU.
It is a very basic and economical type of hosting service, most of the entry level or moderate traffic levels websites are hosted on this type of hosting environment. Shared hosting is also broadly taken as the entry level hosting choice as it needs minimum technical knowledge.

Virtual Private Server (VPS) Hosting : A virtual private server hosting partitions a server into the number of virtual servers, where each partition acts like a dedicated server. But they’re actually sharing a physical server with an only few various other users.
The user to that virtual private server may have root access of their own virtual space and get a highly secure hosting environment for their websites with this type of hosting service. In this type of hosting environment, the user can host multiple websites.

Reseller Hosting : Reseller hosting enables you to create sub-accounts within your web hosting account. These created sub-accounts act as an individual web hosting account, suitable for hosting personal and business websites.
You can create the web hosting accounts as per your convenience and also allocates the hosting resource. This is the best hosting option if you want to start your own web hosting business at very low budget.

Dedicated Server Hosting : A dedicated server gives the highest control on the web server. In that hosting environment, you'll get a whole server authority. So, you can manage all hosting resources of your server.
Dedicated servers are extremely expensive than any other hosting services and it’s only suggested to those who need maximum control and better security and server performance.

Cloud Hosting : Cloud hosting allows an unlimited capability to manage high traffic or traffic spikes. This allows various computers to work together to handle high traffic levels or spikes for any appropriate website.
Cloud hosting booming nowadays, because it gives real-time scalability and reliability. It also gives an option like load balancing so, very rarely you're website gets a downtime.
Here’s how it runs: A pair of servers (called a cloud) works commonly to host and manage a group of websites.

SEO / Social Media Discussions / Re: What is SEO friendly URL?
« on: February 19, 2019, 05:29:35 PM »

I am a web developer and I got requirement from one of my clients saying that he wants SEO friendly URLs. So, please help me to know about the SEO friendly URL. Thank you.

SEO Friendly URL is a well-optimized URL, which helps to understand the content of a website to search engine bots or crawlers and users at the same time. Creating SEO friendly URL is a method of making a set of URL’s which is expressive enough to access and understand by Bots (Search Engine Crawlers) and Humans (Website Visitors). There are several parameters which can follow to create or generate the best URL's.
SEO friendly URL can be implemented by using the simple way like domain name - main category - subcategory - page name. Do not use any special characters or numbers in the given format.
SEO friendly URL's mainly important in eCommerce or online shopping sites because this site has many products or categories, so user will easily find the appropriate navigation on the website.
Take an example, if your website contains information about your company and/or services and that is basically it, no matter how many pages your website have, I’d go with the shortest URL possible.
  • http[:]//example[.]com/contact-us/
  • http[:]//example[.]com/about-company/
SEO friendly URLs for your Online Store, If your website is an eCommerce or online store, there are two ways to go about:
  • http[:]//example[.]com/product-name/
  • http[:]//example[.]com/category-name/product-name/
