First of all check sizes of the image and try to compress them. Also check every section of JavaScript, CSS and Compress as per the requirement.

Try to design for fingers!! A design should have a simple touch navigation that helps the user to scroll easily with fingers. Visualize the size of the fingers like thumb and index finger and opt for effortless UX. In short, the more easy UX more you will get engaged users.

If you want to create a mobile design, SEO friendly then, first of all, you need to focus on the size of image, text, etc., which are present on the website because the size of all the mentioned things may get differ from the desktop version and mobile version. So try to develop the website design in such a way that it will look same on both the mentioned versions.

Do not forget SEO!!

Try to minimize the characters in the title and meta description for easy usage. Google has set a limit on character count of mobile title tags up to 78 characters and meta description characters up to 130 characters. Implement accordingly to get best user experiences.

Avoid using pop-ups because it can irritate the users and it will become hard to close on mobile devices. Likewise, it will increase the bounce rate.

Avoid using flash!! Because if we talk about desktop design, then it becomes easy to get plugins as per the requirement.  But when it comes to mobile design, then it's become tough for the user to get plugins on their phone. Therefore, it is always suggested to use HTML5 for special effects.
