How To Point a Domain to Tilda?

 3 min

Introduction

Tilda is a well-loved no-code website builder tool that lets anyone create sleek, mobile-friendly pages without touching a line of HTML. If MilesWeb handles your domain and you want it to point to your Tilda project, just follow the simple steps below.

Whether you’re publishing a business landing page, an art portfolio, or a small shop, tying your own domain adds instant trust and polish.

Connect Your Domain to Tilda: Step-by-Step

Step 1: Log In to Your Tilda Account

  • Visit Tilda.cc and sign in.
  • Open the dashboard for your project.
  • Click Site Settings, then the Domain tab.
  • Type your custom address (yourdomain.com or yoursite.tilda.ws), and hit Save.

Step 2: Set Up Tilda’s DNS Records

Tilda will give you two records to add at MilesWeb:

  • A record:
    • Host: @
    • Value: 185.215.4.10
  • CNAME record:
    • Host: www
    • Value: yourdomain.com or yoursite.tilda.ws

Add those details at MilesWeb’s DNS record manager, save your changes, and within a few hours your new site address will point to Tilda’s servers.

As soon as the changes spread, visitors typing the domain you set will land on the Tilda pages you built, giving your work the professional home it deserves.

Step 3: Update DNS Settings in Your Domain’s Control Panel

  • Sign in to the control panel provided by your domain registrar or hosting provider (e.g., mPanel of MilesWeb Client Area).
  • Select Domains, then click My Domains.
  • Pick the domain you wish to link with Tilda.
  • Press Manage DNS.
  • Add these records:
TypeNameValueTTL
A@185.215.4.103600
CNAMEwwwyourdomain.com or yoursite.tilda.ws3600

If any default A or CNAME record for @ or www is already there, delete it before saving the new entries.

Step 4: Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS propagation changes may take up to 24 hours to spread everywhere, though updates usually arrive within minutes. You can monitor progress with sites like DNS Checker.

Extra Tips for a Smooth Setup

  • Use HTTPS: Once the domain is linked, turn on HTTPS in your Tilda dashboard for safer visits.
  • Keep DNS Clean: Limit each name to a single A or CNAME pointing to Tilda to avoid troubleshooting headaches.
  • Minor Issues: A quick wipe of your browser’s cache or a hop onto mobile data-or even a friendly VPN-might do the trick.
Conclusion

Directing your domain to Tilda presents your brand as professional and reliable. Your domain can point to your beautiful Tilda site with straightforward DNS configuration from your MilesWeb control panel (mPanel). It is a quick setup with long-term benefits—whether you are an entrepreneur, freelancer, or small business owner.
