Learn to Manage E-mail accounts in Plesk

This article will guide you on how to create, modify and delete e-mail accounts in Plesk. You can define e-mail account storage quotas, change e-mail passwords, etc. You can access e-mail accounts by using webmail in your web browser or by using your own e-mail client application (like Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird)

# Creating a new e-mail account in Plesk

To create e-mail account in Plesk follow these steps :

1. Log in to Plesk.

2. Select a domain of which you want to manage e-mail then click on Mail.

3. Click on Create Email Address.

4. In the text box for Email Address, type the name of your new account. The domain name gets automatically appended to the e-mail account name.

5. Select the Access to the Customer Panel check box to allow the account user to have access to the Customer Panel.

6. Type the strong password in the Password text box. Re-type the same password in the Confirm Password text box to make it final one.

Or click on Generate to automatically create a secure password.

7. Select the Mailbox check box.

8. You can specify the mailbox size or can use the default size.

9. In the text box for Description in Plesk, type a note or comment related to the email account, or you can leave it blank.

10. Click on Ok. Plesk will create an e-mail account.

# Modifying e-mail account

To edit the settings of an existing e-mail account, perform the following steps :

1. Log in to Plesk.

2. Select the domain for which you want to manage e-mail and then click on Mail.

3. Click on the e-mail address that you want to edit. Plesk will display the same page that you have used to create the e-mail account which enables you to change any of the settings.

# Deleting e-mail account in Plesk

To delete e-mail account, perform the following steps :

1. Log in to Plesk.

2. Select the domain for which you want to manage e-mail and then click on Mail.

3. Select the check box that is next to the e-mail account you want to remove.

4. Click on Remove.

5. You will be asked to confirm. Click on Yes to confirm the deletion process. Plesk will delete an e-mail account.
These are simple steps to create, manage and delete your e-mail account in Plesk.
